Student visa process for the Netherlands
Netherlands Student Visa – Step-by-Step Guide for Indian Students
- Eligibility: To study in the Netherlands, Indian students must obtain a Long Stay Visa (MVV) or residence permit.
- Processing Time: The immigration authorities usually take 60–90 days to process the MVV or residence permit. The university is notified once a decision is made.
- Approval & Embassy Appointment: After approval, schedule an appointment at the Indian Embassy to collect your MVV and complete biometrics.
- MVV Collection: The MVV must be collected within 3 months of issuance and is valid for 90 days from the date of collection.
- Travel to the Netherlands: Students can enter and travel within the Netherlands using a provisional residence permit while waiting for the final permit.
- Arrival Requirement: Upon arrival, students must undergo a Tuberculosis (TB) test as part of the entry process.
