Documents required to study in the Netherlands
For studying in the Netherlands, there are certain requirements that have to be fulfilled. Also, the universities in the Netherlands ask for some documents based on the level of study. However, the following is the common list of documents required:
- Updated Resume/CV
- Academic documents, 10th and 12th grade onwards (mark sheets)
- Transcripts
- Two letters of recommendation (if required)
- Statement of Purpose or Motivation Letter
- Passport-size photographs(2-3)
- Language proficiency
- Duly filled out application form with Q&A
- Experience letters (if any)
Netherlands study visa process
- To get the Netherlands student visa, Indian students will need the Long Study Visa (MVV) or resident permit. The visa is specially for students who are ready to start their study abroad journey in the Netherlands.
- The immigration department takes approximately 60 to 90 days to process the MVV and resident permit, respectively. The concerned educational institutions are informed about the final decision.
- In case of acceptance, an appointment has to be made with the Indian Embassy to collect the MVV and have the biometrics taken.
- The deadline for collecting MVV is 3 months from the date of issue. However, it is valid for 90 days from the date of collection from the embassy.
- An international student is allowed to travel in the Netherlands with a provisional residence permit.
- A student needs to undergo a Tuberculosis test upon arrival as part of the entry procedure.
